Jesus said to the people who believed in him,“ You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.

遂謂信己之猶太人曰、爾若恆於我道、則誠我徒也、

乃語猶太之信者曰、爾存我道、誠我徒也、

耶穌謂信己之猶太人曰、爾若恆居於我道、是誠為我徒也、

耶穌因謂之曰：『爾能恪守吾道、是真吾徒、

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said,“ If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

Jesus spoke to the Jews who had believed him.“ If you obey my teaching,” he said,“ you are really my disciples.

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him,“ If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,

Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him,“ If you continue in my word, you really are my disciples.

So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him,“ If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples;

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him,“ If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples;

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him,“ If you continue in My word, you really are My disciples.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word,[ then] are ye my disciples indeed;

Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him,“ If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples

Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him,“ If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.“ Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.“ I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.

But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you.

Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.

At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him.Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked,“ Are you also going to leave?”Simon Peter replied,“ Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.We believe, and we know you are the Holy One of God.”Then Jesus said,“ I chose the twelve of you, but one is a devil.”He was speaking of Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, one of the Twelve, who would later betray him.

“ Now if you fear and worship the Lord and listen to his voice, and if you do not rebel against the Lord’s commands, then both you and your king will show that you recognize the Lord as your God.

But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.

For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers.

As they approached, Jesus said,“ Now here is a genuine son of Israel— a man of complete integrity.”

Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off.

For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.

And my righteous ones will live by faith. But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father.

where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.

This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and led them out of the land of Egypt. They did not remain faithful to my covenant, so I turned my back on them, says the Lord.

But women will be saved through childbearing, assuming they continue to live in faith, love, holiness, and modesty.

Many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, and the two men urged them to continue to rely on the grace of God.

But God has protected me right up to this present time so I can testify to everyone, from the least to the greatest. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen—

Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her.But if she has children or grandchildren, their first responsibility is to show godliness at home and repay their parents by taking care of them. This is something that pleases God.Now a true widow, a woman who is truly alone in this world, has placed her hope in God. She prays night and day, asking God for his help.
