耶穌因謂之曰：『爾能恪守吾道、是真吾徒、

To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said,“ If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

Jesus spoke to the Jews who had believed him.“ If you obey my teaching,” he said,“ you are really my disciples.

Jesus said to the people who believed in him,“ You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings.

Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him,“ If you continue in my word, you really are my disciples.

So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him,“ If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples;

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him,“ If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.

Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples;

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him,“ If you continue in My word, you really are My disciples.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word,[ then] are ye my disciples indeed;

Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him,“ If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples

Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him,“ If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it

Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.

After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him.So Jesus said to the Twelve,“ Do you want to go away as well?”Simon Peter answered him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life,and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”Jesus answered them,“ Did I not choose you, the Twelve? And yet one of you is a devil.”He spoke of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the Twelve, was going to betray him.

If you will fear the Lord and serve him and obey his voice and not rebel against the commandment of the Lord, and if both you and the king who reigns over you will follow the Lord your God, it will be well.

if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.

For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.

But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him,“ Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!”

Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.

For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.

but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.

But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father.

strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.

not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord.

Yet she will be saved through childbearing— if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.

And after the meeting of the synagogue broke up, many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who, as they spoke with them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.

To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass:

Honor widows who are truly widows.But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show godliness to their own household and to make some return to their parents, for this is pleasing in the sight of God.She who is truly a widow, left all alone, has set her hope on God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day,
