He said to them,“ You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

But he continued,“ You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

But Jesus said,“ You are from below. I am from heaven. You are from this world. I am not from this world.

Jesus continued,“ You are from below; I am from above. You belong to this world; I do not.

“ You are from below,” he told them,“ I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

And He was saying to them,“ You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world.

And He said to them,“ You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

“ You are from below,” He told them,“ I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.

And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

Jesus replied,“ You people are from below; I am from above. You people are from this world; I am not from this world.

He said to them,“ You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.

He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.For all that is in the world— the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life— is not from the Father but is from the world.

I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them.We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.

“ If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

With regard to the works of man, by the word of your lips I have avoided the ways of the violent.

No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven.As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven.
