那时，耶稣对众人说：“你们带着刀棒出来，把我当作强盗捉拿吗？我天天坐在殿里教导人，你们却没有逮捕我。

他把书卷卷好，交还侍役，就坐下。会堂里众人都注视他。

耶稣白天在殿里教导人，晚上就到橄榄山上去过夜。

耶稣看见群众，就上了山；他坐下之后，门徒来到他跟前，他就开口教训他们：

他上了西门的那一只船，请他撑开，离岸不远，就坐下，从船上教导众人。

这些话是耶稣在殿里教导人的时候，在银库的院中说的。当时没有人逮捕他，因为他的时候还没有到。

耶稣说：“我的食物就是遵行差我来者的旨意，并且完成他的工作。

“从犹大王亚们的儿子约西亚第十三年直到今日，这二十三年来，常有耶和华的话临到我，我也不断对你们传讲，你们却不听从。

凡是你手可作的，都当尽力去作；因为在你所要去的阴间里，既没有工作，又没有筹谋；没有知识，也没有智慧。

虽然我不断差遣我的仆人众先知到你们那里去，说：你们千万不可行我所恨恶，这可憎的事！
