耶穌復語眾曰、我乃世之光、從我者不行於暗、而得生之光、

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said,“ I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Jesus spoke to the people again. He said,“ I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in darkness. They will have that light. They will have life.”

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said,“ I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying,“ I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.

我臨世為光、使信我者、弗居於暗、

我在世、為世之光、

耶穌曰、片時光尚偕爾、乘有光當行、恐暗忽臨、行於暗者、不知所往、

爾乃世之光、城建在山、不能隱藏、

天主救贖我生、生或作靈免入塚墓、救贖我命、俾睹光明、

生命在道中、生命者人之光也、光照於暗、而暗弗識之、○有天主所遣之人、名約翰、彼來作證、即為光作證、使眾因之而信、約翰非其光、特為光作證是為真光、普照凡生於世之人者也、或作是為真光臨世普照萬人者也

昔天使犯罪、天主亦未惜之、投於地獄、縛於幽暗中、以待審判、

因我天主矜恤、使晨光自上臨我、以照居幽暗及死地陰翳之人、又引我履平康之道、○

夫光臨世、而人因所行者惡、愛暗而不愛光、定罪之故、即在此也、

主使我之燈照耀、主我之天主、使我之幽暗變為光明、

行於幽暗之民、得見大光、居於死陰下者、蒙光照臨、

爾起而發光、爾之光明已臨、主之榮光燭照於爾、幽暗蒙地、晦冥掩蔽萬民、惟爾蒙主光照、主之榮光、彰顯於爾、列民必倚爾之光以行、列王必賴爾燭照之明以往、

惟爾敬畏我名者、必蒙義日照臨、必蒙義日照臨或作義日必為爾出照煦育之德、在其光輝、煦育之德在其光輝原文作施醫之德在其翼間爾得逍遙而出、踴躍有如養肥之犢、

爾中誰畏主而聽其僕之命、行於暗中、不得光明者、當恃主名、仰賴己之天主、

為應先知以賽亞之言云、西布倫地、拿弗他利地、濱海、沿約但異邦人之迦利利、處暗之民、已見大光、居於死地陰翳者、有光照之、

人欲遵行其旨、必知斯道、或由天主、或我由己而言、

我即主召爾、以彰仁義、援爾手以護爾、使爾為與民立約之中保、為列邦之光、明明原文作啟盲者之目、使被囚者出獄、使居幽暗者得出囹圄、

即基督當受害、首先由死復活、為光以照斯民及異邦人、○

善人必蒙光輝普照、心正之人、必得喜樂、

耶穌曰、我即途也、真理也、生命也、非由我、無人能就父、
