凡有為者、不宜幽居潛處、必欲有以自彰。爾既有此異能、盍亦自顯於世乎？』

No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.”

其行事、欲以見於人而為之、且闊其佩經、大其衣裾、

目是者縱己意、棄實學。愚者不志於道、時形其拙。

爾祈禱時、毋若偽善、喜立會堂交衢祈禱、令人見之、我誠告爾、彼已得其賞矣、

善人心積善、而著其善、惡人心積惡、而著其惡、蓋有諸心者、言諸口也、○

慎勿人前施濟、故令人見之、若然、則不獲爾天父之賞矣、故施濟時、勿令吹角於前、若偽善者、在會堂街巷、求榮於人、我誠告爾、彼已得其賞矣、

曰、爾若上帝子、可投下、記有之、主命使者扶爾、免足觸石、

奉遣之使告米該亞曰、諸先知眾口一辭、以休徵進告於王、爾亦當言與彼無異。

眾感聖神、克言各國方言、即聖神所傳授者、時有敬虔之猶太人、自天下諸國而來、寓耶路撒冷、此聲一作、眾集聽、門徒依眾人方言而語、則駭、驚奇相告曰、言者非加利利人乎、乃聞其語、竟為我各人所生之方言、何也、此間、有怕提亞人、米太人、以攔人、居米所波大米、猶太、伽帕多家、本都、亞西亞、弗呂家、旁非利亞、埃及、濱古利奈之呂彼亞、諸方人、來自羅馬之旅人、或猶太、或進教者、又有革哩底亞喇伯人、咸聽以我方言、述上帝大用焉、於是眾奇之、猶豫相問曰、此何意耶、

爾禁食時、毋若偽善作憂容、彼變色、以禁食示人、我誠告爾、彼已得其賞矣、
