耶稣正在向人群讲话，这时候他的母亲和弟弟们站在外面，想要和他说话。

原来连他的弟弟们也不信他。

耶稣的母亲和弟弟们来到他那里，可是由于人多，不能靠近他。

不过当他的弟弟们上去过节以后，他也上去了，但没有公开，像是悄悄去的。

大卫与那些人说话时，他的大哥以利押听见了，以利押就对大卫发怒，说：“你为什么下来这里呢？你把旷野里那些小羊交托给谁了？我知道你的狂傲和恶意，你下来就是为了看打仗！”

后来，耶稣的母亲和弟弟们来了，站在外面，派人去叫耶稣。

约瑟做了一个梦，告诉了他的哥哥们，他们就更加恨他。约瑟对他们说：“你们听听我所做的这个梦：看哪，我们正在田间绑禾捆；看哪，我的禾捆起来立着，你们的禾捆都围着我的禾捆下拜！”他的哥哥们就对他说：“难道你真要作我们的王，真要管辖我们吗？”他们就因他的梦和他的话更加恨他。后来约瑟又做了另一个梦，也把这梦向哥哥们讲述了。他说：“看哪，我又做了一个梦！看哪，太阳、月亮和十一颗星星都向我下拜！”约瑟把梦向父亲和哥哥们讲述了，父亲就斥责他说：“你做的这是什么梦呢？难道我和你母亲、你哥哥们真要来俯伏于地，向你下拜吗？”他的哥哥们都嫉妒他，他父亲却把这话存在心里。

来吧！我们现在就把他杀了，丢在一个坑里，然后说有恶兽把他吃掉了；我们倒要看看他的梦将来会怎样！”

他们派了自己的门徒们与希律党的人一同去见耶稣，说：“老师，我们知道你是真诚的，并且按真理教导神的道。你不顾忌任何人，因为你不看人的情面。请告诉我们，你认为向凯撒纳税，可以不可以呢？”

这时，彼得和其他十一个使徒一同站起来，高声对众人说：“各位犹太人和所有住在耶路撒冷的人哪，你们应当知道这件事，也应当仔细听我的话，
