今彼侃侃而談、無與之言者、有司誠知其為基督乎、

今彼明言、而眾莫之禁、豈有司知其誠基督乎、

今彼顯言、而無人斥之、豈有司知其誠為基督乎、

今乃公然施訓、而莫之誰何！豈當局已確認其為基督乎？

Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Messiah?

Here he is! He is speaking openly. They aren’t saying a word to him. Have the authorities really decided that he is the Messiah?

And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ?

But here he is, speaking in public, and they say nothing to him. Could our leaders possibly believe that he is the Messiah?

Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him?

The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.

He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law.”

But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the will of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.

His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God,

My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And Your salvation all the day, For I do not know their limits.I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said,“ What shall we do? For this Man works many signs.If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation.”And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them,“ You know nothing at all,nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.”Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.Then, from that day on, they plotted to put Him to death.

I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness In the great assembly; Indeed, I do not restrain my lips, O Lord, You Yourself know.I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly.

And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying,“ Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men.

and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

“ For the Lord GOD will help Me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set My face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.He is near who justifies Me; Who will contend with Me? Let us stand together. Who is My adversary? Let him come near Me.

Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue;

and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
