摩西非以律授爾乎、第爾中無一行律者、何為欲殺我耶、

摩西豈不以律法授爾、第爾曹無一遵者、不然、何為欲殺我、

摩西豈不以律法授爾乎、但爾曹中無人守律法、何為欲殺我、

且摩西不曾授爾以法乎？而爾中竟無一人守法也。

Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”

“ Did Moses not give you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why are you seeking to kill Me?”

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Then, from that day on, they plotted to put Him to death.

After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him.

For not even those who are circumcised keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh.

Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.

Moses commanded a law for us, A heritage of the congregation of Jacob.

And Moses alone shall come near the Lord, but they shall not come near; nor shall the people go up with him.”So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the judgments. And all the people answered with one voice and said,“ All the words which the Lord has said we will do.”

You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid in any man’s presence, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it.’

But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’

Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and make your boast in God,and know His will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law.You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?You who say,“ Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law?For“ the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.For circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.Therefore, if an uncircumcised man keeps the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision?And will not the physically uncircumcised, if he fulfills the law, judge you who, even with your written code and circumcision, are a transgressor of the law?For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh;but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.

Therefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.

What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator.

Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

Then they reviled him and said,“ You are His disciple, but we are Moses’ disciples.We know that God spoke to Moses; as for this fellow, we do not know where He is from.”

Now some of them from Jerusalem said,“ Is this not He whom they seek to kill?

For this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him, because He had done these things on the Sabbath.

For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law( for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified;

Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.Jesus answered them,“ Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”

As it is written:“ There is none righteous, no, not one;There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God.They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”“ Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;“ The poison of asps is under their lips”;“ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”“ Their feet are swift to shed blood;Destruction and misery are in their ways;And the way of peace they have not known.”“ There is no fear of God before their eyes.”Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

saying:“ The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you— Moses, in whom you trust.

For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward,

“ This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, the one who received the living oracles to give to us,

Then He said to them,“ Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent.

Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,“ Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision.Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:“ Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.”
