“ Did Moses not give you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why are you seeking to kill Me?”

摩西沒有將律法頒給你們麼？你們中間竟沒有一個人遵行律法呀！你們為甚麼想法子要殺我呢？』

摩西不是把律法傳給你們了嗎？你們當中卻沒有一個人遵行這律法。你們為什麼想要殺我呢？」

摩西非以律授爾乎、第爾中無一行律者、何為欲殺我耶、

摩西豈不以律法授爾、第爾曹無一遵者、不然、何為欲殺我、

摩西豈不以律法授爾乎、但爾曹中無人守律法、何為欲殺我、

且摩西不曾授爾以法乎？而爾中竟無一人守法也。

Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”

Didn’t Moses give you the law? But not one of you obeys the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”

Has not Moses given you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law. Why do you seek to kill me?”

Moses gave you the law, but none of you obeys it! In fact, you are trying to kill me.”

Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you doeth the law? Why seek ye to kill me?

For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

So from that day on they planned together to kill Him.

After these things Jesus was walking in Galilee, for He was unwilling to walk in Judea because the Jews were seeking to kill Him.

For those who are circumcised do not even keep the Law themselves, but they want to have you circumcised so that they may boast in your flesh.

But the Pharisees went out and conspired against Him, as to how they might destroy Him.

Moses issued to us the Law, A possession for the assembly of Jacob.

Moses alone, however, shall approach the Lord, but they shall not approach, nor shall the people come up with him.”Then Moses came and reported to the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice and said,“ All the words which the Lord has spoken we will do!”

You are not to show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike. You are not to be afraid of any person, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too difficult for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it.’

But when the vine growers saw the son, they said among themselves,‘ This is the heir; come, let’s kill him and take possession of his inheritance!’

But if you call yourself a Jew and rely upon the Law and boast in God,and know His will and distinguish the things that matter, being instructed from the Law,and are confident that you yourself are a guide to people who are blind, a light to those in darkness,a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of the immature, possessing in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and of the truth—you, therefore, who teach someone else, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that one is not to steal, do you steal?You who say that one is not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who loathe idols, do you rob temples?You who boast in the Law, through your breaking the Law, do you dishonor God?For“ the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.For indeed circumcision is of value if you practice the Law; but if you are a violator of the Law, your circumcision has turned into uncircumcision.So if the uncircumcised man keeps the requirements of the Law, will his uncircumcision not be regarded as circumcision?And he who is physically uncircumcised, if he keeps the Law, will he not judge you who though having the letter of the Law and circumcision are a violator of the Law?For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh.But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from people, but from God.

Therefore they were seeking again to arrest Him, and He eluded their grasp.

Why the Law then? It was added on account of the violations, having been ordered through angels at the hand of a mediator, until the Seed would come to whom the promise had been made.

The Pharisees went out and immediately began conspiring with the Herodians against Him, as to how they might put Him to death.

They spoke abusively to him and said,“ You are His disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this man, we do not know where He is from.”

So some of the people of Jerusalem were saying,“ Is this man not the one whom they are seeking to kill?

For this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on a Sabbath.

For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law;for it is not the hearers of the Law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the Law who will be justified.

For this reason therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God.

The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him.Jesus replied to them,“ I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?”

as it is written:“ There is no righteous person, not even one;There is no one who understands, There is no one who seeks out God;They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, There is not even one.”“ Their throat is an open grave, With their tongues they keep deceiving,”“ The venom of asps is under their lips”;“ Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness”;“ Their feet are swift to shed blood,Destruction and misery are in their paths,And they have not known the way of peace.”“ There is no fear of God before their eyes.”Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God;because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin.But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,but it is the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction,for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

saying:“ The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses.Therefore, whatever they tell you, do and comply with it all, but do not do as they do; for they say things and do not do them.And they tie up heavy burdens and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as their finger.

Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have put your hope.

For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later;

This is the one who was in the assembly in the wilderness together with the angel who spoke to him at length on Mount Sinai, and who was with our fathers; and he received living words to pass on to you.

And He* said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do harm, to save a life or to kill?” But they kept silent.

Why are the nations restless And the peoples plotting in vain?The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers conspire together Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,“ Let’s tear their shackles apart And throw their ropes away from us!”He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying,“ But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”
