摩西非以律授爾乎、第爾中無一行律者、何為欲殺我耶、

摩西豈不以律法授爾、第爾曹無一遵者、不然、何為欲殺我、

摩西豈不以律法授爾乎、但爾曹中無人守律法、何為欲殺我、

且摩西不曾授爾以法乎？而爾中竟無一人守法也。

Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

So from that day forth they took counsel that they might put him to death.

And after these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Judæa, because the Jews sought to kill him.

For not even they who receive circumcision do themselves keep the law; but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

But the Pharisees went out, and took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.

Moses commanded us a law, An inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.

and Moses alone shall come near unto Jehovah; but they shall not come near; neither shall the people go up with him.And Moses came and told the people all the words of Jehovah, and all the ordinances: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which Jehovah hath spoken will we do.

Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; ye shall hear the small and the great alike; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God’s: and the cause that is too hard for you ye shall bring unto me, and I will hear it.

But the husbandmen, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take his inheritance.

But if thou bearest the name of a Jew, and restest upon the law, and gloriest in God,and knowest his will, and approvest the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,and art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them that are in darkness,a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth;thou therefore that teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou rob temples?thou who gloriest in the law, through thy transgression of the law dishonorest thou God?For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, even as it is written.For circumcision indeed profiteth, if thou be a doer of the law: but if thou be a transgressor of the law, thy circumcision is become uncircumcision.If therefore the uncircumcision keep the ordinances of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be reckoned for circumcision?and shall not the uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who with the letter and circumcision art a transgressor of the law?For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh:but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

They sought again to take him: and he went forth out of their hand.

What then is the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise hath been made; and it was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.

And the Pharisees went out, and straightway with the Herodians took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.

And they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are disciples of Moses.We know that God hath spoken unto Moses: but as for this man, we know not whence he is.

Some therefore of them of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?

And for this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath.

For as many as have sinned without the law shall also perish without the law: and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law;for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified;

For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only brake the sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

The Jews took up stones again to stone him.Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from the Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one;There is none that understandeth, There is none that seeketh after God;They have all turned aside, they are together become unprofitable; There is none that doeth good, no, not so much as one:Their throat is an open sepulchre; With their tongues they have used deceit: The poison of asps is under their lips:Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:Their feet are swift to shed blood;Destruction and misery are in their ways;And the way of peace have they not known:There is no fear of God before their eyes.Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it speaketh to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God:because by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight; for through the law cometh the knowledge of sin.But now apart from the law a righteousness of God hath been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all them that believe; for there is no distinction;for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;

saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat:all things therefore whatsoever they bid you, these do and observe: but do not ye after their works; for they say, and do not.Yea, they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their finger.

Think not that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, on whom ye have set your hope.

For he hath been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by so much as he that built the house hath more honor than the house.For every house is builded by some one; but he that built all things is God.And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken;

This is he that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel that spake to him in the mount Sinai, and with our fathers: who received living oracles to give unto us:

And he saith unto them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? to save a life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate a vain thing?The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us.He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision.Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure:Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion.
