Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

Whoever speaks on their own does it to get personal honor. But someone who works for the honor of the one who sent him is truthful. Nothing about him is false.

The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood.

Those who speak for themselves want glory only for themselves, but a person who seeks to honor the one who sent him speaks truth, not lies.

I do not receive glory from people;

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.Do not offend Jews or Greeks, or the church of God;just as I also please everyone in all things, not seeking my own benefit but the benefit of the many, so that they may be saved.

But when Jesus heard this, He said,“ This sickness is not meant for death, but is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it.”

Jesus answered,“ I do not have a demon; on the contrary, I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.But I am not seeking My glory; there is One who seeks it, and judges.

All who want to make a good showing in the flesh try to compel you to be circumcised, simply so that they will not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.For those who are circumcised do not even keep the Law themselves, but they want to have you circumcised so that they may boast in your flesh.But far be it from me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking actual words of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves;do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,

“ Pray, then, in this way:‘ Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven:“ I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

Therefore when he had left, Jesus* said,“ Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in Him;if God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and will glorify Him immediately.

So now leave Me alone, that My anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them; and I will make of you a great nation.”Then Moses pleaded with the Lord his God, and said,“ Lord, why does Your anger burn against Your people whom You have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?Why should the Egyptians talk, saying,‘ With evil motives He brought them out, to kill them on the mountains and to destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your burning anger and relent of doing harm to Your people.Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, Your servants to whom You swore by Yourself, and said to them,‘ I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heavens, and all this land of which I have spoken I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever.’ ”

nor did we seek honor from people, either from you or from others, though we could have asserted our authority as apostles of Christ.

Jesus answered,“ If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say,‘ He is our God’;

But Moses said to him,“ Are you jealous for my sake? If only all the Lord’s people were prophets, that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”

I glorified You on the earth by accomplishing the work which You have given Me to do.And now You, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world existed.

It is not good to eat much honey, Nor is it glory to search out one’s own glory.
