But no one would say anything publicly about him for fear of the leaders.

But no one would say anything about him openly. They were afraid of the leaders.

Yet for fear of the Jews no one spoke openly of him.

But no one had the courage to speak favorably about him in public, for they were afraid of getting in trouble with the Jewish leaders.

Still, nobody was talking publicly about him for fear of the Jews.

However, no one was speaking openly about Him, for fear of the Jews.

However, no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews.

Yet no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.

Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.

After this, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus— but secretly because of his fear of the Jews— asked Pilate that he might remove Jesus’ body. Pilate gave him permission, so he came and took His body away.

His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Jews, since the Jews had already agreed that if anyone confessed Him as Messiah, he would be banned from the synagogue.

In the evening of that first day of the week, the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because of their fear of the Jews. Then Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them,“ Peace to you!”

Nevertheless, many did believe in Him even among the rulers, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, so they would not be banned from the synagogue.For they loved praise from men more than praise from God.

The fear of man is a snare, but the one who trusts in the Lord is protected.

This man came to Him at night and said,“ Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one could perform these signs You do unless God were with him.”

For he regularly ate with the Gentiles before certain men came from James. However, when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, because he feared those from the circumcision party.Then the rest of the Jews joined his hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy.

I suffer for it to the point of being bound like a criminal, but God’s message is not bound.This is why I endure all things for the elect: so that they also may obtain salvation, which is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.This saying is trustworthy: For if we have died with Him, we will also live with Him;if we endure, we will also reign with Him; if we deny Him, He will also deny us;if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.

I know where you live— where Satan’s throne is! And you are holding on to My name and did not deny your faith in Me, even in the days of Antipas, My faithful witness who was killed among you, where Satan lives.

“ You were born entirely in sin,” they replied,“ and are you trying to teach us?” Then they threw him out.
