於是民間群言紛紛、或曰：『彼善人也。』或曰：『否、彼乃惑眾者耳！』

Among the crowds there was widespread whispering about him. Some said,“ He is a good man.” Others replied,“ No, he deceives the people.”

And there was a lot of murmuring about him among the crowds. Some were saying,“ He’s a good man.” Others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, he’s deceiving the people.”

And there was a great deal of talk about Him in secret among the crowds: some were saying,“ He is a good man”; others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, He is misleading the people.”

And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said,“ He is good”; others said,“ No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.”

And there was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him: some said, He is a good man; others said, Not so, but he leadeth the multitude astray.

And there was a lot of discussion about Him among the crowds. Some were saying,“ He’s a good man.” Others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, He’s deceiving the people.”

眾人聽了這話，有些人說：「這個人確實是那位先知！」另有的說：「這個人就是基督。」還有的卻說：「難道基督會出自加利利嗎？經上不是說，基督是大衛的後裔，是出自大衛的故鄉伯利恆嗎？」於是眾人因耶穌就產生了分裂；

法利賽人中的有些人說：「那個人不是從神那裡來的，因為他不守安息日。」有些人卻說：「一個罪人怎麼能行這樣的神蹟呢？」他們之間就產生了分裂。

法利賽人說：「難道你們也被迷惑了嗎？

法利賽人聽到了眾人私下議論耶穌的這些事。於是祭司長們和法利賽人就派差役們去抓他。

有些耶路撒冷的人說：「這不是他們想要殺的那個人嗎？看，他還在公開講話，他們也沒有對他說什麼。難道首領們真的認為這個人就是基督嗎？可是，基督出現的時候，沒有人會知道他從哪裡來；而這個人，我們卻很清楚他是從哪裡來的。」

做任何事都不要抱怨或爭論，

當時，有一個名叫約瑟的人，是猶太議會中的議員，為人公義良善。

就想拘捕他，可是怕民眾，因為他們都認為耶穌是先知。

百夫長看見所發生的事，就不住地榮耀神，說：「這個人的確是義人。」

說：「大人，我們想起當那個迷惑人的還活著時曾經說過：『在第三天我要復活。』

學生能像他的老師一樣，奴僕能像他的主人一樣，就已經夠了。如果人們稱一家的主人為『別西卜』，更何況他的家人呢！

每個人敬畏不已，就不住地榮耀神，說：「我們中間興起了一位偉大的先知！」又說：「神臨到他的子民了！」

耶穌來到凱撒里亞菲利彼地區，就問他的門徒們，說：「人們說人子是誰？」他們回答說：「有的說是施洗者約翰，有的說是以利亞，另有的說是耶利米或是先知中的一位。」耶穌問他們：「那麼你們呢？你們說我是誰？」西門彼得回答說：「你是基督，是永生神的兒子！」

好人從他心裡所存的善，發出善來；壞人從他心裡所存的惡，發出惡來；因為人心裡所充滿的，口裡就說出來。

耶穌對他說：「你為什麼稱我是良善的呢？除了神一位之外，沒有一個是良善的。

——這是因為巴拿巴是個好人，充滿聖靈和信仰。於是有一大群人歸向了主。

他們回答說：「你也不會是加利利人吧？你去查一查看，先知是不會從加利利興起的！」

因這些話，猶太人中又產生了分裂。其中有許多人說：「他有鬼魔附身，發瘋了！何必聽他的呢？」另有些人說：「這些話不是有鬼魔附身的人說的！鬼魔難道能開瞎子的眼睛嗎？」

為義人死，是少有的；為好人死，或許有敢做的；

眾人看見耶穌所行的神蹟，就說：「這個人確實是那位要來到世上的先知！」
