Among the crowds there was widespread whispering about him. Some said,“ He is a good man.” Others replied,“ No, he deceives the people.”

And there was a lot of murmuring about him among the crowds. Some were saying,“ He’s a good man.” Others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, he’s deceiving the people.”

And there was a great deal of talk about Him in secret among the crowds: some were saying,“ He is a good man”; others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, He is misleading the people.”

And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said,“ He is good”; others said,“ No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.”

And there was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him: some said, He is a good man; others said, Not so, but he leadeth the multitude astray.

And there was a lot of discussion about Him among the crowds. Some were saying,“ He’s a good man.” Others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, He’s deceiving the people.”

聽見這些話後，有些人說：「祂真是那位先知。」也有些人說：「祂是基督。」還有些人說：「不會吧，基督怎麼會出自加利利呢？聖經上不是說基督是大衛的後裔，要降生在大衛的故鄉伯利恆嗎？」眾人因為對耶穌的看法不同，就起了紛爭。

有些法利賽人說：「那個人不是從上帝那裡來的，因為祂不守安息日。」有些人卻說：「如果祂是個罪人，又怎能行這樣的神蹟呢？」他們就爭論起來。

法利賽人說：「難道你們也被祂迷惑了嗎？

法利賽人聽見眾人這樣議論耶穌，就聯合祭司長派差役去抓祂。

有些住在耶路撒冷的人說：「這不是他們要殺的那個人嗎？你看祂這樣公開講道，居然沒有人說什麼，難道官長也真的認為祂是基督嗎？可是基督來的時候，根本沒有人知道祂從哪裡來，我們卻知道這個人是從哪裡來的。」

無論做什麼事，都不要抱怨，也不要與人爭論，

有一位名叫約瑟的公會議員心地善良、為人正直，

他們試圖逮捕耶穌，但又害怕百姓，因為百姓都認為耶穌是先知。

百夫長見此情形，便讚美上帝，說：「這人的確是個義人。」

「總督大人，我們記得那個騙子生前曾說，『三天之後，我必復活』，

學生頂多和老師一樣，奴僕頂多和主人一樣。連一家之主都被罵成是別西卜，更何況祂的家人呢？

在場的人驚懼萬分，把榮耀歸給上帝，說：「我們中間出了一位大先知！」又說：「上帝眷顧了祂的百姓！」

到了凱撒利亞·腓立比境內，耶穌問門徒：「人們說人子是誰？」門徒回答說：「有人說是施洗者約翰，有人說是以利亞，也有人說是耶利米，或其他某位先知。」耶穌問：「那麼，你們說我是誰？」西門·彼得回答說：「你是基督，是永活上帝的兒子！」

善人心存良善，就從他裡面發出良善；惡人心存邪惡，就從他裡面發出邪惡。因為心裡充滿的，口裡自然會說出來。

耶穌說：「你為什麼稱呼我『良善的老師』呢？只有上帝是良善的。

巴拿巴是個被聖靈充滿、信心堅定的好人。那時信主的人大大增加。

他們回答說：「難道你也是加利利人嗎？你去查查看，就會知道沒有先知是從加利利來的。」

猶太人因這番話又起了紛爭。他們當中好些人說：「祂被鬼附身了！祂瘋了！何必聽祂的？」又有些人說：「被鬼附身的人不會說這種話的，鬼能醫好瞎眼的人嗎？」

為義人死，是罕見的；為好人死，也許有敢做的；

大家看見耶穌行的這個神蹟，都說：「這人真是那位要來到世上的先知！」
