然而，那些佃户看见园主的儿子来了，就商量说，‘这是园主的继承人。来吧！我们杀掉他，占了他的产业！’

以下是约翰的见证。犹太人从耶路撒冷派祭司和利未人来找约翰，查问他是谁。

他们又要抓耶稣，但祂从他们手中逃脱了。后来，耶稣到了约旦河东岸约翰从前施洗的地方，在那里住下来。
