夫畀生命者神也、而肉身無益焉。予所授爾之道、神也、生也。

雖然、天主堅實之基礎、固屹然不可搖動；其基礎之上、鐫有銘曰：凡屬主者、皆主所識。誦主名者、宜遠罪孽。

如此之人、亦即天主依其聖意而見召者也。蓋天主所預寵者、乃預簡之、俾克肖其聖子、欲使其聖子成為眾子中之冢息耳。

諳我起居。鑒我秘思。行藏出處。明察罔遺。心聲未發。主已先知。

門徒聞之、多曰『此語亦已甚矣！其誰能聽之？』

凡屬受造之物、莫不在天主明鑒之下、腑肺盡露；吾人皆向渠負責、固無所逃於天地間也。

惟予洞悉爾等、知爾心中不存愛主之情也。

誰作斯語經綸主、真宰夙知今所為。

既又曰：『是故人非受恩於聖父、未有能歸予者也。』

第予語爾、爾雖睹予而不予信也。

然爾曹中亦非人人能語此。予非不識予之所選、顧經中所言：「食吾之食、舉踵相敵、」亦當見應耳。予以此預告、庶幾此事一經實現、爾等可知予之為誰。予切實語爾、納予所遣者、即是納予、而納予、即是納遣予者也。』言至此、耶穌心中苦悶、乃明言曰：『予切實相告、爾曹中一人行將鬻予。』

雖然、爾實末嘗識之、惟予則識；予若云不識、是亦妄而已矣、無異於爾之妄也。顧予實識之、且亦篤守其道也。

凡予所言、乃所見於吾父者；凡爾所行、乃所見於爾父者也。』彼等應曰：『吾父亞伯漢也。』耶穌曰：『苟為亞伯漢之後、則應為亞伯漢之所為矣。今予語爾以所聞於天主之真理、而爾欲置予於死、此固亞伯漢之所不為也、爾所為者、正爾父之所為耳！』若輩應曰：『吾儕非私生子也！吾儕惟有一父、天主是已！』耶穌曰：『倘天主真為爾父、則宜愛予矣。蓋予之來、乃出自天主、非予自來、有遣之者也。爾曹之莫明吾言何也？實緣爾曹不堪聞吾道耳。爾父非他、魔鬼是已！爾父之志、爾則承之。彼自始即為殺人之元兇、未曾須臾立足於真理之中、以彼心中不存真理故。惟誑語乃出其本性；彼為誑者、亦為誑者父。予所言者、真實無妄、而爾則不予信也。爾中有能證予為邪妄者乎？予既以真理語爾、爾亦胡為不予信乎？蓋本乎天主者、必樂聞天主之道；今爾褎如充耳、以爾非本乎天主故也。』

耶穌曰：『爾自地出、予自天降；爾屬斯世、予則不屬斯世；
