而遣予者之志無他、即彼所授我之一切、予當保之勿失、且復活之於末日。

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.

The one who sent me doesn’t want me to lose anyone he has given me. He wants me to raise them up on the last day.

蓋我父之意、欲使凡見子而信之者、咸獲永生；而令予復活之於末日也。』

當予與若輩俱時、予以父名義守護父所賜予之眾、一無所失、而所失者、惟淪喪之子；此亦所以應驗經言耳。

此亦所以應驗其所言「凡父所賜於予者、一無所失」云耳。

耶穌又謂之曰：『予切實告爾、爾苟不食人子之體而飲其血、則爾不具生命。

苟無遣予者聖父之攝引、無人能歸於予。歸予者、予必復活之於末日。

凡父所賜於予之人、必來歸予；來歸予者、予決不拒。

在天爾父之不欲失一小子、亦復如是。

兄弟則為主之所愛、吾儕尚可不為爾等恆謝洪恩乎？蓋天主自始予爾等以簡拔、俾爾等受聖神之感化、篤信真理、以蒙救恩。其召爾也、以吾儕之傳福音為因緣、而以爾等得沾吾主耶穌基督之光榮為目的。

吾羊樂聞吾音、予識之、而彼亦惟予是從；予賜以永生、終無淪亡之虞、亦無能奪自予手。吾父所授於予者、有貴於宇宙萬有者焉。吾父手中所有、孰得從而奪之；予與父、一而已矣！』

苟得復活耶穌者之神寓於爾心、則彼既能起耶穌於死亦必憑其寓爾心中之神、復活爾有死之肉身矣。

蓋爾已死；爾之生命、與基督同匿於天主懷中。基督乃吾人之真生命、一俟基督之顯、爾將與之同顯於光榮之中。

耶穌基督之僕、雅谷伯之弟、樹德、致書於天主聖父所垂愛、耶穌基督所庇護之諸蒙召者曰：

雖然、天主堅實之基礎、固屹然不可搖動；其基礎之上、鐫有銘曰：凡屬主者、皆主所識。誦主名者、宜遠罪孽。

二三子毋庸憂疑、已承爾父美意、以國授爾矣。

瑪大曰：『吾亦知末日眾人復活時、兄必甦焉。』耶穌曰：『予即復活！予即生命！凡置信於予者、雖死必生；生而置信於予者、永不死。汝信之否？』

不寧惟是、吾人亦知人苟能真心愛天主、則天主必使天地萬物同力相助、而亨通之。如此之人、亦即天主依其聖意而見召者也。蓋天主所預寵者、乃預簡之、俾克肖其聖子、欲使其聖子成為眾子中之冢息耳。故其所預簡者、必從而召之；其所召者、更從而義之；其所義者、更從而榮之。吾人於此尚有何說？天主友我、誰能敵我？

蓋天主之神力、必能因爾之信德、保爾始終不渝、俾沐將顯於末日之恩澤也。

慎勿以此為怪、蓋時有必至、凡在墓中者當聞厥音而興、

吾人則為自由自在之天民、延頸舉踵、而望救世主耶穌基督之自天而降、操其統御萬有之大柄、而化吾人朽腐之身為神奇、俾克配其榮耀之體焉。

拒予而不納吾言者、自有咎之者在；吾所傳之道、將於末日定若人之罪。
