耶穌曰：『予即生命之糧；歸予者不復有飢、信予者不復有渴。

Then Jesus declared,“ I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

於是聖神及新婦曰：「望主速臨！」願聽眾咸曰：「望主速臨！」主曰：「渴者可來就我。從心所欲暢飲活泉之水。」

猶太人因聞耶穌言：「予乃自天而降之糧、」舉竊竊私議

節期之末日、亦即節期中主要之日也；耶穌立殿中、揚聲而言曰：『人有渴者、可就予以飲、有能置信於予者、必有「活水之泉、湧自其懷、沛若江河、」正如經之所言也。』

予實生命之糧。爾祖昔在曠野得食瑪納、然而死矣！惟食茲天糧者、得不死。予乃降自天上之活糧、食此糧者必享永生。予所賜之糧、即予軀體、捐以活世。』猶太人互相爭論曰：『斯人亦焉能以其軀體食吾人乎？』耶穌又謂之曰：『予切實告爾、爾苟不食人子之體而飲其血、則爾不具生命。凡食吾體而飲吾血者、乃得永生、而予必復活之於末日。蓋吾體乃真食、吾血乃真飲。食吾體而飲吾血者、存乎我而我亦存乎其中也。正如永生之父遣予、而予因父而活、食予者亦將因予而活。

若輩不復饑渴、日不得而曝之、火不得而爇之；

吾所予之水、在彼將自成源泉、滾滾不已、以達永生。』婦曰：『先生盍以此水見賜、令我不復渴、亦無庸頻來汲水。』

凡父所賜於予之人、必來歸予；來歸予者、予決不拒。

夫吾所授於爾者、乃吾所受於主也。主耶穌於被逮之夕、取餅、祝而分之、曰：此乃吾體、為爾等所捨者；爾等當行此禮、以誌永懷。食後取爵亦然、曰：此爵乃吾血所立之新約、爾等每飲、當行此禮、以誌永懷。是故爾每食此餅、每飲此爵、即係紀念主之彌留、以待其重臨。故凡輕率冒昧、妄食聖餅、妄領聖爵者、則褻瀆聖體與聖血矣。務必正心誠意、深自反省、然後可食斯餅、而領斯爵。若冒昧食之、冒昧飲之、而不思此即主之聖體者、是以飲食而自取罪戾也。

凡爾服勞負重之人、其咸來就我、我當與爾休息。

哀哉爾飽飫、終當成空腹。哀哉爾歡笑、先笑後悲哭。

而爾等獨不願歸予、以獲生命！

夫吾人所聖之寶爵、非吾人共飲之基督聖血乎？吾人所分之餅、又非吾人共領之基督聖體乎？是知吾人雖眾、既共享一餅、則同屬一餅、而合為一體矣。曷一觀義塞同族人之所為乎：若輩共食祭物者、非即同一祭壇之人乎。

第爾等中有不信者焉。』蓋誰屬無信、誰將叛己、耶穌自始知之。

苟無遣予者聖父之攝引、無人能歸於予。歸予者、予必復活之於末日。先知書中有云：「萬民將受天主之訓；」凡有聞於聖父、而宅心知訓者、必來歸予。
