They said therefore to him,“ What then do you do for a sign, that we may see and believe you? What work do you do?

他們又說：「你行甚麼神蹟，叫我們看見就信你；你到底做甚麼事呢？

於是他們對耶穌說：『那麼你行甚麼神迹、叫我們看見來信你呢？你作甚麼工啊？

他們就問：「那麼，你行個什麼神蹟，好讓我們看了就可以信你呢？你可以做什麼呢？

眾曰、爾行何異蹟、使我見而信爾乎、爾何所為乎、

曰、爾行何異跡、使我見而信爾、爾果何以哉、

曰、爾行何異跡、使我見而信爾、爾果何行、

眾曰：『汝有何靈徵、使我見而信之乎？汝亦何所務乎？

So they asked him,“ What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?

So they said to him,“ Then what sign do you do, that we may see and believe you? What work do you perform?

They answered,“ Show us a miraculous sign if you want us to believe in you. What can you do?

“ What sign, then, are you going to do so that we may see and believe you?” they asked.“ What are you going to perform?

So they said to Him,“ What then are You doing as a sign, so that we may see, and believe You? What work are You performing?

Therefore they said to Him,“ What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do?

They said therefore unto him, What then doest thou for a sign, that we may see, and believe thee? what workest thou?

“ What sign then are You going to do so we may see and believe You?” they asked.“ What are You going to perform?

They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

So they said to him,“ Then what miraculous sign will you perform, so that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?

But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they didn’t believe in him,

But if I do them, though you don’t believe me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”

But I told you that you have seen me, and yet you don’t believe.

The Jews therefore answered him,“ What sign do you show us, seeing that you do these things?”

For Jews ask for signs, Greeks seek after wisdom,

For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

The Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing him, asked him to show them a sign from heaven.But he answered them,“ When it is evening, you say,‘ It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’In the morning,‘ It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but you can’t discern the signs of the times!An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and there will be no sign given to it, except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” He left them, and departed.

When the multitudes were gathering together to him, he began to say,“ This is an evil generation. It seeks after a sign. No sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah, the prophet.For even as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so the Son of Man will also be to this generation.

He gave a sign the same day, saying,“ This is the sign which Yahweh has spoken: Behold, the altar will be split apart, and the ashes that are on it will be poured out.”

The Pharisees came out and began to question him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, and testing him.

who say,“ Let him make haste, let him hasten his work, that we may see it; let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, that we may know it!”

The altar was also split apart, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by Yahweh’s word.

“ It will happen, if they will not believe you or listen to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

The other disciples therefore said to him,“ We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them,“ Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”After eight days again his disciples were inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, the doors being locked, and stood in the middle, and said,“ Peace be to you.”Then he said to Thomas,“ Reach here your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into my side. Don’t be unbelieving, but believing.”Thomas answered him,“ My Lord and my God!”Jesus said to him,“ Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed.”

“ Ask a sign of Yahweh your God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.”But Ahaz said,“ I won’t ask. I won’t tempt Yahweh.”He said,“ Listen now, house of David. Is it not enough for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God also?Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin will conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered,“ Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”But he answered them,“ An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.

while you stretch out your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy Servant Jesus.”

God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders, by various works of power and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?

Let the Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe him.” Those who were crucified with him also insulted him.
