They said therefore unto him, What then doest thou for a sign, that we may see, and believe thee? what workest thou?

他們又說：「你行甚麼神蹟，叫我們看見就信你；你到底做甚麼事呢？

於是他們對他說：「你行甚麼神蹟，好讓我們看見而信你呢？你到底要做甚麼呢？

於是他們對耶穌說：『那麼你行甚麼神迹、叫我們看見來信你呢？你作甚麼工啊？

他們就問：「那麼，你行個什麼神蹟，好讓我們看了就可以信你呢？你可以做什麼呢？

眾曰、爾行何異蹟、使我見而信爾乎、爾何所為乎、

曰、爾行何異跡、使我見而信爾、爾果何以哉、

曰、爾行何異跡、使我見而信爾、爾果何行、

眾曰：『汝有何靈徵、使我見而信之乎？汝亦何所務乎？

So they asked him,“ What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?

So they asked him,“ What sign will you give us? What will you do so we can see it and believe you?

So they said to him,“ Then what sign do you do, that we may see and believe you? What work do you perform?

They answered,“ Show us a miraculous sign if you want us to believe in you. What can you do?

“ What sign, then, are you going to do so that we may see and believe you?” they asked.“ What are you going to perform?

So they said to Him,“ What then are You doing as a sign, so that we may see, and believe You? What work are You performing?

Therefore they said to Him,“ What sign will You perform then, that we may see it and believe You? What work will You do?

“ What sign then are You going to do so we may see and believe You?” they asked.“ What are You going to perform?

They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

So they said to him,“ Then what miraculous sign will you perform, so that we may see it and believe you? What will you do?

They said therefore to him,“ What then do you do for a sign, that we may see and believe you? What work do you do?

But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they believed not on him:

But if I do them, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.

But I said unto you, that ye have seen me, and yet believe not.

The Jews therefore answered and said unto him, What sign showest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?

Seeing that Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek after wisdom:

For his disciples were gone away into the city to buy food.

And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and trying him asked him to show them a sign from heaven.But he answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the heaven is red.And in the morning, It will be foul weather to- day: for the heaven is red and lowering. Ye know how to discern the face of the heaven; but ye cannot discern the signs of the times.An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of Jonah. And he left them, and departed.

And when the multitudes were gathering together unto him, he began to say, This generation is an evil generation: it seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it but the sign of Jonah.For even as Jonah became a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which Jehovah hath spoken: Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.

And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, trying him.

that say, Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it; and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!

The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of Jehovah.

And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and see my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and put it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.Jesus saith unto him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Ask thee a sign of Jehovah thy God; ask it either in the depth, or in the height above.But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I tempt Jehovah.And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David: Is it a small thing for you to weary men, that ye will weary my God also?Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, Teacher, we would see a sign from thee.But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet:

while thou stretchest forth thy hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of thy holy Servant Jesus.

God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by manifold powers, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will.

Let the Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reproached him.
