All the labor of man is for his mouth, And yet the soul is not satisfied.

remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,

“ I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me,‘ You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.

Jesus answered and said to her,“ Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true.

Then they said to Him,“ What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”Jesus answered and said to them,“ This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also,

And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”

For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.

“ Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me,‘ Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father.

Then a voice came from heaven,“ You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me.”

which all concern things which perish with the using— according to the commandments and doctrines of men?

Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

“ Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—

When goods increase, They increase who eat them; So what profit have the owners Except to see them with their eyes?The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, Whether he eats little or much; But the abundance of the rich will not permit him to sleep.There is a severe evil which I have seen under the sun: Riches kept for their owner to his hurt.But those riches perish through misfortune; When he begets a son, there is nothing in his hand.As he came from his mother’s womb, naked shall he return, To go as he came; And he shall take nothing from his labor Which he may carry away in his hand.And this also is a severe evil— Just exactly as he came, so shall he go. And what profit has he who has labored for the wind?

Jesus said to her,“ I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

“ Therefore do not worry, saying,‘ What shall we eat?’ or‘ What shall we drink?’ or‘ What shall we wear?’For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.And He began to say to them,“ Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

Jesus said to him,“ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;

But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said,“ Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”And Jesus answered and said to her,“ Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air.But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

And Jesus said to him,“ Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

Behold, is it not of the Lord of hosts That the peoples labor to feed the fire, And nations weary themselves in vain?

while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
