For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

just as You gave Him authority over all mankind, so that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life.

for it is God who is at work in you, both to desire and to work for His good pleasure.

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal:“ The Lord knows those who are His;” and,“ Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to keep away from wickedness.”

I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats from this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I will give for the life of the world also is My flesh.”

But the testimony I have is greater than the testimony of John; for the works which the Father has given Me to accomplish— the very works that I do— testify about Me, that the Father has sent Me.And the Father who sent Me, He has testified about Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.

Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found spotless and blameless by Him, at peace,

All a person’s labor is for his mouth, and yet his appetite is not satisfied.

“ Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

Simon Peter answered Him,“ Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.

constantly keeping in mind your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father,

“ I will announce the decree of the Lord: He said to Me,‘ You are My Son, Today I have fathered You.

Jesus answered and said to her,“ Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again;but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.”

The one who has accepted His testimony has certified that God is true.

Therefore they said to Him,“ What are we to do, so that we may accomplish the works of God?”Jesus answered and said to them,“ This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”

that there be no sexually immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal.

For this purpose I also labor, striving according to His power which works mightily within me.

and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came from heaven:“ You are My beloved Son, in You I am well pleased.”

While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice from the cloud said,“ This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him!”

And then a voice came from the cloud, saying,“ This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him!”

But this I say, brothers, the time has been shortened, so that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none;and those who weep, as though they did not weep; and those who rejoice, as though they did not rejoice; and those who buy, as though they did not possess;and those who use the world, as though they did not make full use of it; for the present form of this world is passing away.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord anointed me To bring good news to the humble; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim release to captives And freedom to prisoners;To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The cloak of praise instead of a disheartened spirit. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while uncircumcised, so that he might be the father of all who believe without being circumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them,

But I knew that You always hear Me; nevertheless, because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me.”

For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so also the rich person, in the midst of his pursuits, will die out.

and behold, a voice from the heavens said,“ This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

“ Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold; My chosen one in whom My soul delights. I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the nations.

And I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me,‘ He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’And I myself have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God.”

If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well.

and a voice came from the heavens:“ You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”

I am He who testifies about Myself, and the Father who sent Me testifies about Me.”

( which all refer to things destined to perish with use)— in accordance with the commandments and teachings of man?

Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, however God will do away with both of them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body.

“ Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a Man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know—

When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?The sleep of the laborer is sweet, whether he eats little or much; but the full stomach of the rich person does not allow him to sleep.There is a sickening evil which I have seen under the sun: wealth being hoarded by its owner to his detriment.When that wealth was lost through bad business and he had fathered a son, then there was nothing to support him.As he came naked from his mother’s womb, so he will return as he came. He will take nothing from the fruit of his labor that he can carry in his hand.This also is a sickening evil: exactly as a person is born, so will he die. What then is the advantage for him who labors for the wind?

Jesus said to her,“ I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies,and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Do not worry then, saying,‘ What are we to eat?’ or‘ What are we to drink?’ or‘ What are we to wear for clothing?’For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed,To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”And He rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all the people in the synagogue were intently directed at Him.Now He began to say to them,“ Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”

Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience.

Jesus* said to him,“ I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.

If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;but if I do them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.”

Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.And He will delight in the fear of the Lord, And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make decisions by what His ears hear;

But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said,“ Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do the serving by myself? Then tell her to help me.”But the Lord answered and said to her,“ Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things;but only one thing is necessary; for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.Everyone who competes in the games exercises self control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.Therefore I run in such a way as not to run aimlessly; I box in such a way, as to avoid hitting air;but I strictly discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.

If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

And Jesus* said to him,“ The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

Is it not indeed from the Lord of armies That peoples labor merely for fire, And nations become weary for nothing?

while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
