[ Seeing] then[ that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner[ of persons] ought ye to be in[ all] holy conversation and godliness,Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

All the labour of man[ is] for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

For all flesh[ is] as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou[ art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Lest there[ be] any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

But this I say, brethren, the time[ is] short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;And they that use this world, as not abusing[ it]: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

The Spirit of the Lord GOD[ is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to[ them that are] bound;To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which[ he had yet] being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said[ it], that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect,[ in whom] my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

And there came a voice from heaven,[ saying], Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body[ is] not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good[ is there] to the owners thereof, saving the beholding[ of them] with their eyes?The sleep of a labouring man[ is] sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.There is a sore evil[ which] I have seen under the sun,[ namely], riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetteth a son, and[ there is] nothing in his hand.As he came forth of his mother’s womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.And this also[ is] a sore evil,[ that] in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?( For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The Spirit of the Lord[ is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.And he closed the book, and he gave[ it] again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father[ is] in me, and I in him.

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they[ do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:But I keep under my body, and bring[ it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air[ have] nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay[ his] head.

Behold,[ is it] not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen[ are] temporal; but the things which are not seen[ are] eternal.
