and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might be reckoned unto them;

I am he that beareth witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

( all which things are to perish with the using), after the precepts and doctrines of men?

Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall bring to nought both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body:

When goods increase, they are increased that eat them; and what advantage is there to the owner thereof, save the beholding of them with his eyes?The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much; but the fulness of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept by the owner thereof to his hurt:and those riches perish by evil adventure; and if he hath begotten a son, there is nothing in his hand.As he came forth from his mother’s womb, naked shall he go again as he came, and shall take nothing for his labor, which he may carry away in his hand.And this also is a grievous evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that he laboreth for the wind?

Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, that no man fall after the same example of disobedience.

But Martha was cumbered about much serving; and she came up to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister did leave me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.But the Lord answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things:but one thing is needful: for Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Know ye not that they that run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? Even so run; that ye may attain.And every man that striveth in the games exerciseth self- control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.I therefore so run, as not uncertainly; so fight I, as not beating the air:but I buffet my body, and bring it into bondage: lest by any means, after that I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected.

If to others I am not an apostle, yet at least I am to you; for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Behold, is it not of Jehovah of hosts that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?

while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
