Jesus answered,“ Truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate the loaves and were filled.

耶穌回答他們說：『我實實在在地告訴你們，你們尋找我，不是因為你們看懂了神迹，乃是因為你們喫餅喫飽罷了。

耶穌回答說：「我確確實實地告訴你們：你們找我，並不是因為看見了神蹟，而是因為你們吃餅吃飽了。

耶穌曰、我誠語汝、爾尋我、非為見異蹟、乃為食餅而飽耳、

耶穌曰、我誠告爾、爾曹尋我、非為見異跡、第為食餅而飽耳、

耶穌答曰、我誠告爾、爾曹尋我、非因異跡、乃因食餅得飽耳、

耶穌應曰：『予切實語爾、爾等追求於予、非為曾見靈蹟、乃為食餅而飽耳。

Jesus answered,“ Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill.

Jesus answered,“ What I’m about to tell you is true. You are not looking for me because you saw the signs I did. You are looking for me because you ate the loaves until you were full.

Jesus answered them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves.

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the truth, you want to be with me because I fed you, not because you understood the miraculous signs.

Jesus answered them and said,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate some of the loaves and were filled.

Jesus answered them and said,“ Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.

Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but because ye ate of the loaves, and were filled.

Jesus answered,“ I assure you: You are looking for Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate the loaves and were filled.

Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the solemn truth, you are looking for me not because you saw miraculous signs, but because you ate all the loaves of bread you wanted.

Jesus answered them,“ Most certainly I tell you, you seek me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.

all seek their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

You ask and don’t receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God.

because such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites. They deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting with smooth talk and flattering words.

Then they believed his promises and sang his praise.They soon forgot his works and would not wait for his counsel.They were seized with craving in the wilderness and tested God in the desert.

Their end is destruction; their god is their stomach; their glory is in their shame; and they are focused on earthly things.

their hearts were insincere toward him, and they were unfaithful to his covenant.

So my people come to you in crowds, sit in front of you, and hear your words, but they don’t obey them. Their mouths go on passionately, but their hearts pursue dishonest profit.

and constant disagreement among people whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a way to material gain.

When Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money,saying,“ Give me this power also so that anyone I lay hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”But Peter told him,“ May your silver be destroyed with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!You have no part or share in this matter, because your heart is not right before God.

A huge crowd was following him because they saw the signs that he was performing by healing the sick.

Jesus answered,“ Truly I tell you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Jesus replied,“ Truly I tell you, unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

Therefore, when Jesus realized that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, he withdrew again to the mountain by himself.

When the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum looking for Jesus.

“ Truly I tell you, anyone who believes has eternal life.

But there are some among you who don’t believe.”( For Jesus knew from the beginning those who did not believe and the one who would betray him.)

“ What sign, then, are you going to do so that we may see and believe you?” they asked.“ What are you going to perform?

So Jesus said to them,“ Truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life in yourselves.
