Above the sound of the surging water, and the mighty waves of the sea, the LORD sits enthroned in majesty.

The LORD sits enthroned over the engulfing waters, the LORD sits enthroned as the eternal king.

While they were saying these things, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”But they were startled and terrified, thinking they saw a ghost.Then he said to them,“ Why are you frightened, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?Look at my hands and my feet; it’s me! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones like you see I have.”

Instead, they tried to row back to land, but they were not able to do so because the storm kept growing worse and worse.

Your rowers have brought you into surging waters. The east wind has wrecked you in the heart of the seas.

Now that very day two of them were on their way to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.
