When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened.

到了傍晚，船在海中，耶穌自己單獨在岸上。看見他們艱苦在搖櫓，因為風逆着他們；就在夜裏四更時分，向着他們那裏走去，在海上走，想要在他們旁邊走過去。他們看見他在海上走，以為是鬼怪，就高聲喊叫起來；

夜裏四更天、耶穌在海上走，要往他們那裏去。門徒看見他在海上走，嚇了一跳，說：『是鬼怪喲！』由於懼怕，就喊叫起來。

他獨自伸展了蒼天，踏行於海浪之丘；

『我必不撇下你們為孤兒；我必來找你們。

永恆主在高天、大有威力，勝過諸水的雷轟聲，其威力勝過洋海的激浪。

永恆主對着洪水而坐着為王，永恆主坐着為王到永遠。

他們正說這些話的時候，耶穌親自站在他們當中了。他們卻恐慌懼怕，以為是見了鬼靈。耶穌就對他們說：『你們怎麼震盪不安呢？為甚麼心裏起了疑念呢？看我的手我的腳，是我自己；摸我看看！靈是沒有肉和骨頭，像你們看我是有的。』

然而那些人卻竭力盪槳、要把船攏岸，仍然不能；因為海越來越翻騰而沖撞着他們。

給你盪槳的已經把你帶到水深之處；東風將你打破於海中心。

伯大尼近耶路撒冷，約有三公里路。

那酒醡在城外被踹着，有血從酒醡中流出；漲到馬嚼環那麼高，流到六百里那麼遠。

城是四方的，長寬都一樣。天使用葦子量那城：有四千里；長寬高都相等；

就在那一天，門徒中有兩個人往一個村子去；這村子名叫以馬忤斯，離耶路撒冷約有十一公里。
