到了晚上，门徒的船在湖中心，耶稣独自留在岸上。大约凌晨三点钟，祂看见门徒在逆风中摇橹，非常吃力，就从水面上朝门徒走去，想要从他们旁边经过。门徒看见有人在湖面上走，以为是幽灵，吓得惊叫起来。

天将破晓的时候，耶稣从水面上向门徒走去。门徒看见有人在湖面上走，都吓坏了，说：“是幽灵！”他们害怕得又喊又叫。

祂独自铺展穹苍，步行在海浪之上。

我不会撇下你们为孤儿，我必到你们这里来。

高天之上的耶和华充满力量，超过咆哮的洪水和怒吼的大海。

耶和华坐在洪涛之上，耶和华永远坐着为王。

正说的时候，耶稣出现在他们中间，说：“愿你们平安！”他们又惊又怕，以为是看见了鬼魂。耶稣说：“你们为什么忧心忡忡？为什么心存疑惑呢？你们看我的手和脚，就知道真的是我。来摸摸看，鬼魂没有骨和肉，你们看！我有。”

然而船上的人还是拚命划船，希望把船划向岸边，可是没有成功，因为风浪实在太大了。

船夫把你摇到汪洋之中，但东风要把你击碎在海中。

伯大尼离耶路撒冷不远，大约只有三公里的路，

葡萄在城外的榨酒池中被踩踏，血从榨酒池中涌出，高至马的嚼环，流了三百公里远。

圣城是正方形的，长宽相等。天使用量秆丈量那城，长、宽、高都是两千二百公里。
