事後耶穌立刻催門徒上船，叫他們先渡到對岸的伯賽大去，等他自己叫眾人散開。

耶穌又到了加利利的迦拿，就是他變水為酒的地方。有一個大臣，他的兒子在迦百農患病。

這事以後，耶穌和母親、弟弟、門徒，都下到迦百農去，在那裡住了沒有幾天。

群眾見耶穌和門徒都不在那裡，就上船往迦百農去找耶穌。他們在對岸找到了耶穌，就問他：“拉比，你幾時到這裡來的？”
