After the people saw the sign Jesus performed, they began to say,“ Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

The people saw the sign that Jesus did. Then they began to say,“ This must be the Prophet who is supposed to come into the world.”

When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said,“ This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!”

When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed,“ Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!”

When the people saw the sign he had done, they said,“ This truly is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

Therefore when the people saw the sign which He had performed, they said,“ This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

Then those men, when they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said,“ This is truly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

Now when the people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus performed, they began to say to one another,“ This is certainly the Prophet who is to come into the world.”

When therefore the people saw the sign which Jesus did, they said,“ This is truly the prophet who comes into the world.”

眾人說：「這是從加利利的拿撒勒來的先知耶穌。」

問耶穌：「將要來的那位就是你嗎？還是我們要等候另一位呢？」

眾人聽見這些話，有的說：「這真是那先知。」

「耶和華－你的上帝要從你弟兄中給你興起一位先知像我，你們要聽他。這正如你在何烈山大會的那日向耶和華－你的上帝所求的一切，說：『求你不要再叫我聽見耶和華－我上帝的聲音，也不要再叫我看見這大火，免得我死亡。』耶和華對我說：『他們說得對。我必在他們弟兄中給他們興起一位先知像你。我要將當說的話放在他口裏；他要將我一切所吩咐的都告訴他們。

他們又問他：「那麼，你是誰？是以利亞嗎？」他說：「我不是。」「是那位先知嗎？」他回答：「不是。」

權杖必不離猶大，統治者的杖必不離他兩腳之間，直等細羅來到，萬民都要歸順他。

婦人對他說：「先生，我看你是一位先知。

這人是摩西，就是那曾對以色列人說『上帝要從你們弟兄中給你們興起一位先知像我』的。

他們對那婦人說：「現在我們信，不再是因為你的話，而是我們親自聽見了，知道這人真是世界的救主。」

婦人對他說：「我知道彌賽亞－就是那稱為基督的－要來；他來了，會把一切的事都告訴我們。」

摩西曾說：『主－你們的上帝要從你們弟兄中給你們興起一位先知像我，凡他向你們所說的一切，你們都要聽從。凡不聽從那先知的，必將從民中滅絕。』從撒母耳以來和後繼的眾先知，凡說預言的，也都曾宣告這些日子。

耶穌對他們說：「甚麼事呢？」他們對他說：「就是拿撒勒人耶穌的事。他是個先知，在上帝和眾百姓面前，說話行事都大有能力。

眾人都驚奇，歸榮耀給上帝，說：「有大先知在我們當中興起了！」又說：「上帝眷顧了他的百姓！」
