耶穌說：『叫人坐下！』那地方原有很多草。人就坐下，數目約有五千。

當時約有五千人。耶穌就對門徒說：『叫他們一排一排地坐下，每一排大約有五十個人。』他們就這樣作，叫眾人都坐下。耶穌便拿這五個餅兩條魚，望着天祝頌，擘開，連續地給門徒，去擺在羣眾面前。

耶穌就吩咐他們大家、要一組一組地坐在青草地上。他們就一排一排地坐下，有一百的，有五十的。耶穌便拿這五個餅兩條魚，望着天祝頌，擘開了餅，連續地給門徒，去擺在眾人面前；他也把那兩條魚分給他們。

他就囑咐羣眾坐在地上，便拿着那七個餅和那幾條魚，祝謝，擘開，連續地給門徒，門徒又給羣眾。

耶穌說：『拿過來這裏給我。』於是吩咐羣眾坐在草地上，就拿這五個餅兩條魚，望着天祝頌，擘開了餅給門徒，門徒又給羣眾。

耶穌囑咐羣眾坐在地上；就拿着那七個餅，祝謝、擘開，連續地給門徒，叫他們擺上；他們就擺在羣眾面前。還有幾條小魚；耶穌為了小魚而祝頌，就吩咐這些也要擺上。
