At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,

The man was healed right away. He picked up his mat and walked. This happened on a Sabbath day.

And at once the man was healed, and he took up his bed and walked. Now that day was the Sabbath.

Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath,

It was a Sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes.

He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day.Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years. She was bent over, and could in no way straighten herself up.When Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her,“ Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.”He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight and glorified God.The ruler of the synagogue, being indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the multitude,“ There are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day!”Therefore the Lord answered him,“ You hypocrites! Doesn’t each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath, and lead him away to water?Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?”

If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me, because I made a man completely healthy on the Sabbath?

So the Jews said to him who was cured,“ It is the Sabbath. It is not lawful for you to carry the mat.”He answered them,“ He who made me well said to me,‘ Take up your mat and walk.’”Then they asked him,“ Who is the man who said to you,‘ Take up your mat and walk’?”

He took him by the right hand and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength.Leaping up, he stood and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.

Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him,“ Behold, you are made well. Sin no more, so that nothing worse happens to you.”

And behold there was a man with a withered hand. They asked him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day?” that they might accuse him.He said to them,“ What man is there among you, who has one sheep, and if this one falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, won’t he grab on to it, and lift it out?Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day.”Then he told the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out; and it was restored whole, just like the other.

Taking the child by the hand, he said to her,“ Talitha cumi!” which means, being interpreted,“ Girl, I tell you, get up!”Immediately the girl rose up and walked, for she was twelve years old. They were amazed with great amazement.

He came and took her by the hand, and raised her up. The fever left her immediately, and she served them.

Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.

When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean.

Jesus said to him,“ Go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus on the way.

They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.He said to the man who had his hand withered,“ Stand up.”He said to them,“ Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?” But they were silent.
