At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,

Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath,

Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath,and a woman was there who had been disabled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten herself up completely.When Jesus saw her, he called her to him and said,“ Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.”Then he placed his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.But the president of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd,“ There are six days on which work should be done! So come and be healed on those days, and not on the Sabbath day.”Then the Lord answered him,“ You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from its stall, and lead it to water?Then shouldn’t this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be released from this imprisonment on the Sabbath day?”

But if a male child is circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses is not broken, why are you angry with me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath?

So the Jewish leaders said to the man who had been healed,“ It is the Sabbath, and you are not permitted to carry your mat.”But he answered them,“ The man who made me well said to me,‘ Pick up your mat and walk.’”They asked him,“ Who is the man who said to you,‘ Pick up your mat and walk’?”

Then Peter took hold of him by the right hand and raised him up, and at once the man’s feet and ankles were made strong.He jumped up, stood and began walking around, and he entered the temple courts with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

After this Jesus found him at the temple and said to him,“ Look, you have become well. Don’t sin any more, lest anything worse happen to you.”

A man was there who had a withered hand. And they asked Jesus,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” so that they could accuse him.He said to them,“ Would not any one of you, if he had one sheep that fell into a pit on the Sabbath, take hold of it and lift it out?How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”Then he said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out and it was restored, as healthy as the other.

Then, gently taking the child by the hand, he said to her,“ Talitha koum,” which means,“ Little girl, I say to you, get up.”The girl got up at once and began to walk around( she was twelve years old). They were completely astonished at this.

He came and raised her up by gently taking her hand. Then the fever left her and she began to serve them.

At once the bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.

The leprosy left him at once, and he was clean.

Jesus said to him,“ Go, your faith has healed you.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the road.

They watched Jesus closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they could accuse him.So he said to the man who had the withered hand,“ Stand up among all these people.”Then he said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath, or evil, to save a life or destroy it?” But they were silent.
