“ Don’t think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you, even Moses, on whom you have set your hope.

毋意我將訟爾於父、有一訟爾者、即爾所恃之摩西、

勿以為予將訟爾於父、訟爾者固另有人在、即爾所信賴之摩西是已。

“ But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set.

“ Do not think I will bring charges against you in front of the Father. Moses is the one who does that. And he is the one you build your hopes on.

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope.

“ Yet it isn’t I who will accuse you before the Father. Moses will accuse you! Yes, Moses, in whom you put your hopes.

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom you have set your hope.

Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have put your hope.

Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you— Moses, in whom you trust.

Think not that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, on whom ye have set your hope.

“ Do not suppose that I will accuse you before the Father. The one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have placed your hope.

Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

They insulted him and said,“ You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”

Didn’t Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill me?”

Indeed you bear the name of a Jew, rest on the law, glory in God,know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,and are confident that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,a corrector of the foolish, a teacher of babies, having in the law the form of knowledge and of the truth.You therefore who teach another, don’t you teach yourself? You who preach that a man shouldn’t steal, do you steal?You who say a man shouldn’t commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?You who glory in the law, do you dishonor God by disobeying the law?For“ the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” just as it is written.For circumcision indeed profits, if you are a doer of the law, but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.If therefore the uncircumcised keep the ordinances of the law, won’t his uncircumcision be accounted as circumcision?Won’t the uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfills the law, judge you, who with the letter and circumcision are a transgressor of the law?For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh;but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law,“ The one who does them will live by them.”But the righteousness which is of faith says this,“ Don’t say in your heart,‘ Who will ascend into heaven?’( that is, to bring Christ down);or,‘ Who will descend into the abyss?’( that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)”But what does it say?“ The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;” that is, the word of faith which we preach:that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

But if the service of death, written engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look steadfastly on the face of Moses for the glory of his face, which was passing away,won’t service of the Spirit be with much more glory?For if the service of condemnation has glory, the service of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.For most certainly that which has been made glorious has not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasses.For if that which passes away was with glory, much more that which remains is in glory.

They asked him,“ Why then did Moses command us to give her a certificate of divorce, and divorce her?”He said to them,“ Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it has not been so.

For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.

Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. What then do you say about her?”They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.

I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.The commandment which was for life, this I found to be for death;for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good.Did then that which is good become death to me? May it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, was producing death in me through that which is good; that through the commandment sin might become exceedingly sinful.For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, sold under sin.

They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.
