Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you— Moses, in whom you trust.

毋意我將訟爾於父、有一訟爾者、即爾所恃之摩西、

勿以為予將訟爾於父、訟爾者固另有人在、即爾所信賴之摩西是已。

“ But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set.

“ Do not think I will bring charges against you in front of the Father. Moses is the one who does that. And he is the one you build your hopes on.

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope.

“ Yet it isn’t I who will accuse you before the Father. Moses will accuse you! Yes, Moses, in whom you put your hopes.

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom you have set your hope.

Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have put your hope.

Think not that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, on whom ye have set your hope.

“ Do not suppose that I will accuse you before the Father. The one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have placed your hope.

“ Don’t think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you, even Moses, on whom you have set your hope.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Then they reviled him and said,“ You are His disciple, but we are Moses’ disciples.We know that God spoke to Moses; as for this fellow, we do not know where He is from.”

Did not Moses give you the law, yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill Me?”

Indeed you are called a Jew, and rest on the law, and make your boast in God,and know His will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,and are confident that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, having the form of knowledge and truth in the law.You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal?You who say,“ Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law?For“ the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written.For circumcision is indeed profitable if you keep the law; but if you are a breaker of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.Therefore, if an uncircumcised man keeps the righteous requirements of the law, will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision?And will not the physically uncircumcised, if he fulfills the law, judge you who, even with your written code and circumcision, are a transgressor of the law?For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh;but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.

For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law,“ The man who does those things shall live by them.”But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way,“ Do not say in your heart,‘ Who will ascend into heaven?’”( that is, to bring Christ down from above)or,“‘ Who will descend into the abyss?’”( that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).But what does it say?“ The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”( that is, the word of faith which we preach):that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels.For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.

They said to Him,“ Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?”He said to them,“ Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.

For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law

Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?”This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death.For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
