You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,

You study the Scriptures carefully. You study them because you think they will give you eternal life. The Scriptures you study are a witness about me.

You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me,

“ You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!

You pore over the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them, and yet they testify about me.

You examine the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is those very Scriptures that testify about Me;

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

He said to them,“ This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me must be fulfilled.”

We have the more sure word of prophecy; and you do well that you heed it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts:knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of private interpretation.For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit.

Search in the book of Yahweh, and read: not one of these will be missing. None will lack her mate. For my mouth has commanded, and his Spirit has gathered them.

Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

But you remain in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them.From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.Every Scripture is God- breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness,that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Concerning this salvation, the prophets sought and searched diligently. They prophesied of the grace that would come to you,searching for who or what kind of time the Spirit of Christ, which was in them, pointed to, when he predicted the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that would follow them.

Having therefore obtained the help that is from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would happen,how the Christ must suffer, and how, by the resurrection of the dead, he would be first to proclaim light both to these people and to the Gentiles.”

For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they didn’t know him, nor the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him.

which he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,

How I love your law! It is my meditation all day.Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for your commandments are always with me.I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.

Hear instruction, and be wise. Don’t refuse it.Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my door posts.

Much in every way! Because first of all, they were entrusted with the revelations of God.

The wise men are disappointed. They are dismayed and trapped. Behold, they have rejected Yahweh’s word. What kind of wisdom is in them?

Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this,“ He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. As a lamb before his shearer is silent, so he doesn’t open his mouth.In his humiliation, his judgment was taken away. Who will declare His generation? For his life is taken from the earth.”The eunuch answered Philip,“ Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?”Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him about Jesus.

You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more.

For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote about me.

Yahweh your God will raise up to you a prophet from among you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him.

I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.

Haven’t you even read this Scripture:‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner.

But Jesus answered them,“ You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

For with you is the spring of life. In your light we will see light.

They answered him,“ Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.”

“ But Abraham said to him,‘ They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’

Philip found Nathanael, and said to him,“ We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

For it is no vain thing for you, because it is your life, and through this thing you shall prolong your days in the land, where you go over the Jordan to possess it.”

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

It is another who testifies about me. I know that the testimony which he testifies about me is true.

I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me,“ Look! Don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.”

King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you believe.”

Therefore you shall lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul. You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.You shall write them on the door posts of your house and on your gates;

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.

“ He said to him,‘ If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rises from the dead.’”

Behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested him, saying,“ Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”He said to him,“ What is written in the law? How do you read it?”He answered,“ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”He said to him,“ You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.”But he, desiring to justify himself, asked Jesus,“ Who is my neighbor?”

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord.

He asked life of you and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.

but his delight is in Yahweh’s law. On his law he meditates day and night.

Turn to the law and to the covenant! If they don’t speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.

But the testimony which I have is greater than that of John, for the works which the Father gave me to accomplish, the very works that I do, testify about me, that the Father has sent me.

Behold, one came to him and said,“ Good teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?”He said to him,“ Why do you call me good? No one is good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”He said to him,“ Which ones?” Jesus said,“‘ You shall not murder.’‘ You shall not commit adultery.’‘ You shall not steal.’‘ You shall not offer false testimony.’‘ Honor your father and your mother.’ And,‘ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”The young man said to him,“ All these things I have observed from my youth. What do I still lack?”

like the dew of Hermon, that comes down on the hills of Zion; for there Yahweh gives the blessing, even life forever more.

Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Indeed you bear the name of a Jew, rest on the law, glory in God,know his will, and approve the things that are excellent, being instructed out of the law,

It shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write himself a copy of this law in a book, out of that which is before the Levitical priests.It shall be with him, and he shall read from it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear Yahweh his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them;

But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

Women received their dead by resurrection. Others were tortured, not accepting their deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection.
