「我有比約翰更大的見證，因為父交給我工作要我去完成。我現在做的這些工作正為我見證：就是父差派了我。

然我有證、大於約翰者、蓋父賜我所成之事、即我所行之事、證父遣我也、

然我有證大於約翰者、蓋父所賜我以成之事、即我所行之事、此事證我為父所遣者、

顧為予作證者、有較如望更為重要者焉。蓋父所授予之使命、令予完成、而予今猶慘澹經營者、亦為吾證、證父實曾遣予、

“ I have testimony weightier than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to finish— the very works that I am doing— testify that the Father has sent me.

“ What I say about myself is more important than what John says about me. I am doing the works the Father gave me to finish. These works are a witness that the Father has sent me.

But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to accomplish, the very works that I am doing, bear witness about me that the Father has sent me.

But I have a greater witness than John— my teachings and my miracles. The Father gave me these works to accomplish, and they prove that he sent me.

“ But I have a greater testimony than John’s because of the works that the Father has given me to accomplish. These very works I am doing testify about me that the Father has sent me.

But the testimony I have is greater than the testimony of John; for the works which the Father has given Me to accomplish— the very works that I do— testify about Me, that the Father has sent Me.

But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish— the very works that I do— bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me.

But the witness which I have is greater than that of John; for the works which the Father hath given me to accomplish, the very works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

“ But I have a greater testimony than John’s because of the works that the Father has given Me to accomplish. These very works I am doing testify about Me that the Father has sent Me.

But I have greater witness than[ that] of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

“ But I have a testimony greater than that from John. For the deeds that the Father has assigned me to complete– the deeds I am now doing– testify about me that the Father has sent me.

But the testimony which I have is greater than that of John, for the works which the Father gave me to accomplish, the very works that I do, testify about me, that the Father has sent me.

耶穌回答：「我告訴過你們，你們卻不相信。我奉我父的名所行的這些事為我做見證；

如果我沒有在他們當中做別人從未做過的事，他們就沒有罪；但如今他們雖然看到了，還是恨我和我的父。

他夜裡來到耶穌那裡，說：「拉比，我們知道你是從神那裡來的老師，因為你所行的這些神蹟，如果沒有神的同在，沒有人能做得到。」

耶穌回答他們，說：「你們去把所聽見、所看見的告訴約翰，

如果我沒有做我父的事，你們就不該相信我；但如果我做了，你們即使不相信我，也該相信這些事。這樣，你們就會知道並體會父在我裡面，我也在父裡面。」

當耶穌在耶路撒冷過逾越節的時候，許多人看見他所行的這些神蹟，就信了他的名。

因為神差派他的兒子來到世上，不是為了定世人的罪，而是為了世人藉著他得救。

他回答說：「這就奇怪了！他開了我的眼睛，你們竟然不知道他是從哪裡來的！我們知道神是不聽罪人的，然而，如果有人敬畏神、遵行他的旨意，神就垂聽他。自古以來，沒有人聽說過誰開了生來就瞎眼之人的眼睛。那個人如果不是從神而來的，他什麼也不能做。」

「各位以色列人哪，請聽這些話：拿撒勒人耶穌是神向你們所證實的人；神藉著他在你們中間行了大能、神蹟和奇事，正如你們自己所知道的。

我完成了你交給我該做的事，因而在地上榮耀了你。

這見證就是：神把永恆的生命賜給了我們，並且這生命在他兒子裡面。那有了神兒子的，就有了這生命；那沒有神兒子的，就沒有這生命。

但是其中有些人說：「這個人既然開了瞎子的眼睛，難道就不能使拉撒路不死嗎？」

耶穌對他們說：「我的食物就是遵行那派我來者的旨意，並且完成他的工作。

為我做見證的另有一位，並且我知道，他為我做的見證是有效的。

難道你不相信我就在父裡面，父也在我裡面嗎？我對你們說的話，不是憑自己說的，而是住在我裡面的父，在做他的工作。你們當相信我：我在父裡面，父也在我裡面。即使不信，也當因我所做的事而相信。
