I can do nothing on my own initiative. Just as I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I do not seek my own will, but the will of the one who sent me.

耶稣继续说：“我凭自己不能做什么，我按父上帝的旨意审判，我的审判是公平的；因为我不是按自己的旨意行，而是按差我来者的旨意行。

“我靠着自己不能作什么，我怎样听见，就怎样审判。我的审判是公义的，因为我不寻求自己的意思，只求那差我来者的旨意。

我於己無所能行、惟依所聞而鞫、我鞫乃義、以我不求己旨、求遣我者之旨耳、

我自無所能、惟遵所聞者、而審判之、我審判以義、我不己意是求、乃父遣我者之意也、

我由己無所能行、惟遵所聞而審判、我之審判乃公、蓋我不求己意、乃求父遣我者之意也、

予不能有所擅行、惟依予之所聞、而為黜陟、予既不徇私意、一遵遣予者之意而行故予之黜陟、乃公正無偏。

By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

I can do nothing by myself. I judge only as I hear. And my judging is fair. I do not try to please myself. I try to please the one who sent me.

So Jesus answered them,“ I tell you the solemn truth, the Son can do nothing on his own initiative, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise.

For I have come down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.

Jesus said to them,“ My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and to complete his work.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you, I do not speak on my own initiative, but the Father residing in me performs his miraculous deeds.

Going a little farther, he threw himself down with his face to the ground and prayed,“ My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me! Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

Then Jesus said,“ When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing on my own initiative, but I speak just what the Father taught me.

For even Christ did not please himself, but just as it is written,“ The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”

Then I say,“ Look! I come! What is written in the scroll pertains to me.I want to do what pleases you, my God. Your law dominates my thoughts.”

He will take delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by mere appearances, or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.He will treat the poor fairly, and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and order the wicked to be executed.

Far be it from you to do such a thing– to kill the godly with the wicked, treating the godly and the wicked alike! Far be it from you! Will not the judge of the whole earth do what is right?”

You people judge by outward appearances; I do not judge anyone.But if I judge, my evaluation is accurate, because I am not alone when I judge, but I and the Father who sent me do so together.

But Jesus said to Peter,“ Put your sword back into its sheath! Am I not to drink the cup that the Father has given me?”

Samaria and its king will be carried off like a twig on the surface of the waters.The high places of the“ House of Wickedness” will be destroyed; it is the place where Israel sins. Thorns and thistles will grow up over its altars. Then they will say to the mountains,“ Cover us!” and to the hills,“ Fall on us!”O Israel, you have sinned since the time of Gibeah, and there you have remained. Did not war overtake the evildoers in Gibeah?When I please, I will discipline them; I will gather nations together to attack them, to bind them in chains for their two sins.

Jesus replied,“ If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come from God and am now here. I have not come on my own initiative, but he sent me.

I am not trying to get praise for myself. There is one who demands it, and he also judges.

Now we know that God’s judgment is in accordance with truth against those who practice such things.

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed!

I glorified you on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

before the LORD, for he comes! For he comes to judge the earth! He judges the world fairly, and the nations in accordance with his justice.
