Why do you people think it is unbelievable that God raises the dead?

( as it is written,“ I have made you the father of many nations”). He is our father in the presence of God whom he believed– the God who makes the dead alive and summons the things that do not yet exist as though they already do.Against hope Abraham believed in hope with the result that he became the father of many nations according to the pronouncement,“ so will your descendants be.”Without being weak in faith, he considered his own body as dead( because he was about one hundred years old) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

just as you have given him authority over all humanity, so that he may give eternal life to everyone you have given him.

When the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said,“ Am I God? Can I kill or restore life? Why does he ask me to cure a man of his skin disease? Certainly you must see that he is looking for an excuse to fight me!”

When Elisha arrived at the house, there was the child lying dead on his bed.He went in by himself and closed the door. Then he prayed to the LORD.He got up on the bed and spread his body out over the boy; he put his mouth on the boy’s mouth, his eyes over the boy’s eyes, and the palms of his hands against the boy’s palms. He bent down over him, and the boy’s skin grew warm.Elisha went back and walked around in the house. Then he got up on the bed again and bent down over him. The child sneezed seven times and opened his eyes.

He stretched out over the boy three times and called out to the LORD,“ O LORD, my God, please let this boy’s breath return to him.”
