So Jesus explained,“ I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.

Jesus gave them this answer:“ Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

Jesus answered,“ What I’m about to tell you is true. The Son can do nothing by himself. He can do only what he sees his Father doing. What the Father does, the Son also does.

So Jesus said to them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.

Jesus replied,“ Truly I tell you, the Son is not able to do anything on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son likewise does these things.

Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them,“ Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in the same way.

Then Jesus answered and said to them,“ Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.

Then Jesus replied,“ I assure you: The Son is not able to do anything on His own, but only what He sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son also does these things in the same way.

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

So Jesus answered them,“ I tell you the solemn truth, the Son can do nothing on his own initiative, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise.

Jesus therefore answered them,“ Most certainly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father doing. For whatever things he does, these the Son also does likewise.

I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it.

So Jesus said,“ When you have lifted up the Son of Man on the cross, then you will understand that I Am he. I do nothing on my own but say only what the Father taught me.

Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me.

Don’t be so surprised! Indeed, the time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God’s Son,and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to experience eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to experience judgment.I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will.

No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.”

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work.

For just as the Father gives life to those he raises from the dead, so the Son gives life to anyone he wants.

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.No, I will not abandon you as orphans— I will come to you.Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live.When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”Judas( not Judas Iscariot, but the other disciple with that name) said to him,“ Lord, why are you going to reveal yourself only to us and not to the world at large?”Jesus replied,“ All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.

for I will give you the right words and such wisdom that none of your opponents will be able to reply or refute you!

As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.

Jesus replied,“ I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

Jesus told her,“ I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”

He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.

But tell me this— since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead?

Then let the heavens proclaim his justice, for God himself will be the judge. Interlude

The people will declare,“ The Lord is the source of all my righteousness and strength.” And all who were angry with him will come to him and be ashamed.

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called— his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead.( It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. And I will give to each of you whatever you deserve.

“ I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.“ And I assure you that the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when the dead will hear my voice— the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live.The Father has life in himself, and he has granted that same life giving power to his Son.

For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.

for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.

Then God said,“ Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”

But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”

Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer and Creator:“ I am the Lord, who made all things. I alone stretched out the heavens. Who was with me when I made the earth?

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Then the Lord asked Moses,“ Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord?

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

Each time he said,“ My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you.

But God released him from the horrors of death and raised him back to life, for death could not keep him in its grip.

“ All right,” Jesus replied.“ Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,

For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.

Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
