Jesus defended himself. He said to them,“ My Father is always doing his work. He is working right up to this day. I am working too.”

耶穌謂之曰：『吾父健行、以至於今、予亦自強不息。』

In his defense Jesus said to them,“ My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.”

But Jesus answered them,“ My Father is working until now, and I am working.”

But Jesus replied,“ My Father is always working, and so am I.”

Jesus responded to them,“ My Father is still working, and I am working also.”

But He answered them,“ My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.”

But Jesus answered them,“ My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh even until now, and I work.

But Jesus responded to them,“ My Father is still working, and I am working also.”

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

So he told them,“ My Father is working until now, and I too am working.”

But Jesus answered them,“ My Father is still working, so I am working, too.”

While it is still day, we must do the works of the one who sent me. Night is coming. Then no one can work.

Don’t you believe that I am in the Father? Don’t you believe that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. The Father lives in me. He is the one who is doing his work.

All things were created in him. He created everything in heaven and on earth. He created everything that can be seen and everything that can’t be seen. He created kings, powers, rulers and authorities. All things have been created by him and for him.

The Son is the shining brightness of God’s glory. He is the exact likeness of God’s being. He uses his powerful word to hold all things together. He provided the way for people to be made pure from sin. Then he sat down at the right hand of the King, the Majesty in heaven.

So the heavens and the earth and everything in them were completed.By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing. So on that day he rested from all his work.

There are different ways the Spirit works. But the same God is working in all these ways and in all people.

Aren’t two sparrows sold for only a penny? But not one of them falls to the ground outside your Father’s care.

You formed the mountains by your power. You showed how strong you are.

Look up toward the sky. Who created everything you see? The Lord causes the stars to come out at night one by one. He calls out each one of them by name. His power and strength are great. So none of the stars is missing.

But he has given proof of what he is like. He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven. He gives you crops in their seasons. He provides you with plenty of food. He fills your hearts with joy.”

‘ In him we live and move and exist.’ As some of your own poets have also said,‘ We are his children.’
