He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him,“ Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”“ Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.“ I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied.

Remember what I told you:‘ A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.

Then he said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched it out and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.

At that point some of the people of Jerusalem began to ask,“ Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill?

Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.

But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.

Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.

Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?”“ You are demon-possessed,” the crowd answered.“ Who is trying to kill you?”
