But the man who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had slipped away while there was a crowd in that place.

Then He* said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand!” He stretched it out, and it was restored to normal, like the other.

So some of the people of Jerusalem were saying,“ Is this man not the one whom they are seeking to kill?

The Pharisees went out and immediately began conspiring with the Herodians against Him, as to how they might put Him to death.

But they themselves were filled with senseless rage, and began discussing together what they might do to Jesus.

Therefore they were seeking again to arrest Him, and He eluded their grasp.

“ Did Moses not give you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why are you seeking to kill Me?”The crowd answered,“ You have a demon! Who is seeking to kill You?”
