第三日，在加利利的迦拿有娶親的筵席，耶穌的母親在那裏。耶穌和他的門徒也被請去赴席。酒用盡了，耶穌的母親對他說：「他們沒有酒了。」耶穌說：「母親，我與你有甚麼相干？我的時候還沒有到。」他母親對用人說：「他告訴你們甚麼，你們就做甚麼。」照猶太人潔淨的規矩，有六口石缸擺在那裏，每口可以盛兩三桶水。耶穌對用人說：「把缸倒滿了水。」他們就倒滿了，直到缸口。耶穌又說：「現在可以舀出來，送給管筵席的。」他們就送了去。管筵席的嘗了那水變的酒，並不知道是哪裏來的，只有舀水的用人知道。管筵席的便叫新郎來，對他說：「人都是先擺上好酒，等客喝足了，才擺上次的，你倒把好酒留到如今！」這是耶穌所行的頭一件神蹟，是在加利利的迦拿行的，顯出他的榮耀來；他的門徒就信他了。

他殺他們的時候，他們才求問他，回心轉意，切切地尋求神。

並要在患難之日求告我；我必搭救你，你也要榮耀我。

耶穌和門徒到了眾人那裏，有一個人來見耶穌，跪下，說：「主啊，憐憫我的兒子！他害癲癇的病很苦，屢次跌在火裏，屢次跌在水裏。

又到義伯崙、利合、哈們、加拿，直到西頓大城；

因他有一個獨生女兒，約有十二歲，快要死了。耶穌去的時候，眾人擁擠他。

耶穌說這話的時候，有一個管會堂的來拜他，說：「我女兒剛才死了，求你去按手在她身上，她就必活了。」

有西門‧彼得和稱為低土馬的多馬，並加利利的迦拿人拿但業，還有西庇太的兩個兒子，又有兩個門徒，都在一處。

我要回到原處，等他們自覺有罪，尋求我面；他們在急難的時候必切切尋求我。

有一個迦南婦人，從那地方出來，喊着說：「主啊，大衛的子孫，可憐我！我女兒被鬼附得甚苦。」
