And Jehovah, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling- place:

And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness among the people.

They then that received his word were baptized: and there were added unto them in that day about three thousand souls.

And in those days cometh John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judæa, saying,Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.For this is he that was spoken of through Isaiah the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make ye ready the way of the Lord, Make his paths straight.Now John himself had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his food was locusts and wild honey.Then went out unto him Jerusalem, and all Judæa, and all the region round about the Jordan;and they were baptized of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and soul: and not one of them said that aught of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

that saying ye yourselves know, which was published throughout all Judæa, beginning from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

and believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women:

searching what time or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did point unto, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow them.To whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you, did they minister these things, which now have been announced unto you through them that preached the gospel unto you by the Holy Spirit sent forth from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.
