“ Did someone bring him food while we were gone?” the disciples asked each other.

门徒就彼此对问说：“莫非有人拿什么给他吃吗？”

门徒就彼此说：“难道有人拿什么给他吃了吗？”

门徒就彼此说：“难道有人拿什么给他吃了吗？”

门徒彼此议论说：“难道有人给祂吃的了？”

门徒就彼此说：“难道有人拿东西给他吃了吗？”

门徒彼此问：“难道有人拿东西来给他吃了吗？”

門徒就彼此對問說：「莫非有人拿甚麼給他吃嗎？」

門徒就彼此說：「難道有人拿甚麼給他吃了嗎？」

門徒就彼此說：「難道有人拿甚麼給他吃了嗎？」

門徒彼此議論說：「難道有人給祂吃的了？」

門徒就彼此說：“難道有人拿東西給他吃了嗎？”

於是門徒彼此說：『莫非有人拿來給他喫？』

門徒彼此問：「難道有人拿東西來給他吃了嗎？」

門徒相語曰、有供其食者乎、

門徒相語曰、豈有供之者乎、

門徒相語曰、有人供其食乎、

耶穌曰：『遵行遣予者之旨、而完成其工作、是吾食也。

Then his disciples said to each other,“ Could someone have brought him food?”

Then his disciples asked each other,“ Did someone bring him food?”

So the disciples said to one another,“ Has anyone brought him something to eat?”

The disciples said to one another,“ Could someone have brought him something to eat?”

So the disciples were saying to one another,“ No one brought Him anything to eat, did he?”

Therefore the disciples said to one another,“ Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”

The disciples therefore said one to another, Hath any man brought him aught to eat?

The disciples said to one another,“ Could someone have brought Him something to eat?”

Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him[ ought] to eat?

So the disciples began to say to one another,“ No one brought him anything to eat, did they?”

The disciples therefore said to one another,“ Has anyone brought him something to eat?”

But they didn’t know what he meant. Its significance was hidden from them, so they couldn’t understand it, and they were afraid to ask him about it.

“ Watch out!” Jesus warned them.“ Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”At this they began to argue with each other because they hadn’t brought any bread.Jesus knew what they were saying, so he said,“ You have so little faith! Why are you arguing with each other about having no bread?Don’t you understand even yet? Don’t you remember the 5,000 I fed with five loaves, and the baskets of leftovers you picked up?Or the 4,000 I fed with seven loaves, and the large baskets of leftovers you picked up?Why can’t you understand that I’m not talking about bread? So again I say,‘ Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.’”
