and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

He showeth his word unto Jacob, His statutes and his ordinances unto Israel.

then they drew near to Zerubbabel, and to the heads of fathers’ houses, and said unto them, Let us build with you; for we seek your God, as ye do; and we sacrifice unto him since the days of Esar- haddon king of Assyria, who brought us up hither.

The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh come; And unto him shall the obedience of the peoples be.

But as for us, Jehovah is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and we have priests ministering unto Jehovah, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites in their work:and they burn unto Jehovah every morning and every evening burnt- offerings and sweet incense: the showbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of Jehovah our God; but ye have forsaken him.And, behold, God is with us at our head, and his priests with the trumpets of alarm to sound an alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against Jehovah, the God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.

Cry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great in the midst of thee is the Holy One of Israel.
