He who watches the wind will not sow, and he who observes the clouds will not reap.Just as you do not know the path of the wind, or how the bones form in the womb of a pregnant woman, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

For who among men knows the things of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So too, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Suddenly a sound like a violent wind blowing came from heaven and filled the entire house where they were sitting.

– children not born by human parents or by human desire or a husband’s decision, but by God.

He also said,“ The kingdom of God is like someone who spreads seed on the ground.He goes to sleep and gets up, night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.By itself the soil produces a crop, first the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the head.And when the grain is ripe, he sends in the sickle because the harvest has come.”

When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God courageously.

Do you know about the balancing of the clouds, that wondrous activity of him who is perfect in knowledge?You, whose garments are hot when the earth is still because of the south wind,

for just as the sky is higher than the earth, so my deeds are superior to your deeds and my plans superior to your plans.The rain and snow fall from the sky and do not return, but instead water the earth and make it produce and yield crops, and provide seed for the planter and food for those who must eat.In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing. No, it is realized as I desire and is fulfilled as I intend.”Indeed you will go out with joy; you will be led along in peace; the mountains and hills will give a joyful shout before you, and all the trees in the field will clap their hands.Evergreens will grow in place of thorn bushes, firs will grow in place of nettles; they will be a monument to the LORD, a permanent reminder that will remain.

The breath of God produces ice, and the breadth of the waters freeze solid.He loads the clouds with moisture; he scatters his lightning through the clouds.The clouds go round in circles, wheeling about according to his plans, to carry out all that he commands them over the face of the whole inhabited world.Whether it is for punishment for his land, or whether it is for mercy, he causes it to find its mark.

If you know that he is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteousness has been fathered by him.

It is one and the same Spirit, distributing as he decides to each person, who produces all these things.

He gave the order for a windstorm, and it stirred up the waves of the sea.

He calmed the storm, and the waves grew silent.

But now, the sun cannot be looked at– it is bright in the skies– after a wind passed and swept the clouds away.From the north he comes in golden splendor; around God is awesome majesty.As for the Almighty, we cannot attain to him! He is great in power, but justice and abundant righteousness he does not oppress.

“ For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit,for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thorns, nor are grapes picked from brambles.
