One who watches the wind will not sow, and the one who looks at the clouds will not reap.Just as you don’t know the path of the wind, or how bones develop in the womb of a pregnant woman, so also you don’t know the work of God who makes everything.

For who knows a person’s thoughts except his spirit within him? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

Suddenly a sound like that of a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were staying.

He said to me,“ Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man. Say to it: This is what the Lord GOD says: Breath, come from the four winds and breathe into these slain so that they may live!”

who were born, not of natural descent, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.

“ The kingdom of God is like this,” he said.“ A man scatters seed on the ground.He sleeps and rises night and day; the seed sprouts and grows, although he doesn’t know how.The soil produces a crop by itself— first the blade, then the head, and then the full grain on the head.As soon as the crop is ready, he sends for the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

When they had prayed, the place where they were assembled was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God boldly.

Do you understand how the clouds float, those wonderful works of him who has perfect knowledge?You whose clothes get hot when the south wind brings calm to the land,

“ For as heaven is higher than earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return there without saturating the earth and making it germinate and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat,so my word that comes from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I please and will prosper in what I send it to do.”You will indeed go out with joy and be peacefully guided; the mountains and the hills will break into singing before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.Instead of the thornbush, a cypress will come up, and instead of the brier, a myrtle will come up; this will stand as a monument for the LORD, an everlasting sign that will not be destroyed.

Ice is formed by the breath of God, and watery expanses are frozen.He saturates clouds with moisture; he scatters his lightning through them.They swirl about, turning round and round at his direction, accomplishing everything he commands them over the surface of the inhabited world.He causes this to happen for punishment, for his land, or for his faithful love.

If you know that he is righteous, you know this as well: Everyone who does what is right has been born of him.

One and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as he wills.

He spoke and raised a stormy wind that stirred up the waves of the sea.

He stilled the storm to a whisper, and the waves of the sea were hushed.

Now no one can even look at the sun after a wind has swept through and cleared the sky.Out of the north he comes, shrouded in a golden glow; awesome majesty surrounds him.The Almighty— we cannot reach him— he is exalted in power! He will not violate justice and abundant righteousness,

“ A good tree doesn’t produce bad fruit; on the other hand, a bad tree doesn’t produce good fruit.For each tree is known by its own fruit. Figs aren’t gathered from thornbushes, or grapes picked from a bramble bush.
